We have decided to Top off our Loki Armor ( Thor Movie Armor ) with a Loki Helmet!! Top Off get it because it a Helmet, LOL! Im sure you get it. See you not only get costumes her but humor as well (even if its bad)

We will be sculpting this ASAP as we have to have it done by April 24th for a movie premier. A friend of ours saw the Armor and said “Hey guys what about a Helmet?” We will be using the Thick Latex as we do on our Masks & Helmets to keep it light and tight, for the horns I’m kicking around a couple ideas, either Styrofoam coated in latex or molding the foam and casting thick latex pieces with an expanding foam core, not quite sure just yet.

Any keep an eye on this one it should be fun to watch! Until then here is a couple rough sculpt shots to tease you!

Just a quick update for thos of you followin along! the Horns have been molded, I have one casting up as we speak as a “test”! Mallie got very far on the sculpt today but there is still some work to do!

(Update 4/17/12) Last night I pulled the first Latex pull and was not completly happy with the results I had a couple small pinholes and a bit of water must have settled in the mold ! Anyway I still decided to build it as a prototype  to makes sure the horns attached correctly and there were not structural issues! to my surprise it turned out beautiful and is structural sound for being latex. We could not be happier with the results, this is a beautiful helmet. Cant wait until we get a good pull. We are planning on painting this one just to make sure everything works out.

(Updated 4/18/12) Ok Faithful followers we got even further on the Prototype last night! We gave it a paint job to really show you the potential of this bad boy! A Lot of thought work and material went into creating this Loki Helmet, hopefully you enjoy the end result. Please keep in mind that this is the flawed prototype and the production piece will not have the minor flaws that this one does.

(Updated 4/24/12) Hey Guys and Gals

Here is the last post and update for the Loki Helmet, we finally got a really good pull on both the helmet and the horns.

We also found a better paint that is a little darker gold or bronze! This has been a fun build, please check out all the pics HERE
